Privacy
KLO Labs is a small company in Dayton, Ohio. This page says what we collect when you use klo-labs.com and our apps, and what we do with it. Short version: as little as we can, and we never sell it.
What We Collect
- Your email address, when you claim or buy a license. We use it to send your key and download links, to help if you lose your key, and to tell you about new KLO releases. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Your license key and activations. When an app activates, it sends your key, a random machine ID made by the app, the computer's name, the app version and your operating system. We use this to enforce the computer limit and to show your computers on My Licenses.
- Update checks. About once a day the app asks if there's a newer version, sending the product, version and operating system. You can turn this off in Settings.
- Which card or link brought you here, from the code in the link (for example a business card batch). This only tells us which handout worked.
- Payment details go straight to our payment provider. We never see or store your card number. We get your email, what you bought and the price.
What We Don't Do
- No ads, no ad trackers, no selling or renting your data.
- The apps don't send your music, projects, presets or MIDI anywhere.
Who Handles It
The site and license server run on Cloudflare, which also blocks bots on the claim form with Turnstile. License emails are sent through an email delivery service. Payments are handled by our payment provider, who is the seller of record and handles sales tax. Each of them only gets what it needs to do that job.
How Long We Keep It
We keep license records for as long as the license exists, so your key keeps working. Activation records for a computer you remove are deleted. Server logs are kept for a short time for security and then dropped.
Your Choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting your record also cancels your license, so we'll check with you first. Email [email protected].
Changes
If this changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and say so on this page.
