Terms
These terms cover KLO Chords, KLO Birds, KLO Songwriter and klo-labs.com. By installing or using the apps you agree to them. They're written to be read, so please do.
Your License
- A license lets one person use the app on up to three computers at a time. Moving to a new computer is fine. Free one up on My Licenses.
- A license covers the major version it was issued for (for example, every 1.x release). We'll say clearly if a future major version is a paid upgrade. Your version keeps working either way.
- A KLO Songwriter license also covers KLO Chords and KLO Birds.
- Licenses claimed free during a promotion are permanent, under these same terms.
- You own what you make with the apps. Songs, MIDI, presets and recordings are yours, with no royalties owed to us.
What You Can't Do
- Share, sell or post your license key, or run the apps on more computers than your license allows.
- Remove or get around the license check, or redistribute the apps or installers.
- Claim promotional licenses with fake or throwaway emails or with bots.
If a key is shared or abused, we can revoke it.
Payments And Refunds
Paid licenses are sold through our payment provider, who is the seller of record and handles tax and receipts. If the app doesn't work on your computer and we can't fix it, email us within 30 days of buying and we'll refund you.
Updates And Activation
The apps activate online once, check in about once a month, and keep working offline for up to 60 days between checks. Update checks can be turned off in Settings. Old versions may stop getting fixes, but the app will always offer you the update.
No Warranty
We work hard on these apps, but they're provided as is. To the extent the law allows, KLO Labs isn't liable for lost work, lost profits or indirect damages from using them. Save your projects. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the license.
Changes And Contact
If these terms change we'll update the date at the top. The terms in place when you got your license keep applying to it. These terms are governed by the laws of Ohio, USA. Questions: [email protected].
